Solvolution's instructional design process methodology has been improved. Several considerations for incorporating SCORM conformant content have been adopted in our concept, design and deveopment phases. For a full, detailed overview, download our ID process methodology brochure. (PDF)

Conceptualisation phase

Verify that the content will be deployed in a SCORM conformant LMS. Identify primary and secondary audiences for content and the appropriate strategy for recording meta-data. . At the end of this phase, the architectural blueprint on the sequencing and structuring of the course is being drawn up. Documentation: Courseware Requirements Documentt (CRD)

Design phase

Formulate learning objectives and content chunking strategy. Define the information types, cognitive levels and presentation strategies. This phase is where the storyboarding takes place. We storyboard the content so that it can stand alone. Documentation: Courseware Design Document (CDD)

Development phase

After the storyboard is reviewed and finalised, the development of the content can commence. Our development team is responsible for the graphics, audiovisual and coding production. The Quality Assurance (QA) team will verify that the courseware functions smoothly with no technical hiccups. Delivery: Alpha & Beta versions

Deployment phase

Commonly executed either with the IT team from the client or with our technology partner, Piramide e-learning. The coursewares are being published and run on the chosen LMS. Tests are run to ensure that the functionalities work and debugging, if necessary. Documentation: Courseware Final Acceptance Document.

Evaluation phase

This is an extremely strong eLearning solution for the training of psychomotor skills. Psychomotor skills refer to the basic motor skills, coordination and physical movement. These physical behaviors are best learned through repetitive practice. Because practice makes perfect.
